Meralco Bolts vs Alaska Aces
Meralco defeats Alaska, 81-75
Chico Lanete led Meralco with 17 points and Mac Cardona is back from an ankle injury and scored 10 points but it was the defense of the Bolts which gave Alaska its 5th straight loss. It was a close game in the 4th quarter but Nelbert Omolon forced a turnover by Cyrus Baguio to keep Meralco at bay and the Bolts winning their 2nd straight game and 4th win overall with 2 losses.
Sol Mercado only had 8 points but dished out 7 assists and grabbed 7 rebounds. Mark Isip contributed double-digits with 10 points, while Asi Taulava grabbing 8 rebounds and scored 4 points, with two of those points coming from a missed free throw by Omolon in the dying seconds of the game. Sonny Thoss led Alaska with 19 points.
Rebounding edge by Meralco, 54-28 but the Bolts committed 20 turnovers compared to 11 by Alaska.
