Rain or Shine defeats Meralco, 89-84
With the game close at halftime, Meralco had another chance to win without top scorers Sol Mercado and Mac Cardona but a big 3rd quarter by newly-tooled Rain or Shine gave the Bolts a setback after winning their last 2 games.
New Meralco Bolts guard Mark Macapagal led the team with 20 points while Gabby Espinas and Asi Taulava contributed double digits with 19 and 16 points respectively. Chico Lanete who starred in their previous game also had double digits with 14 points. ROS was led by Gabe Norwood and Jeff Chan with 14 points each while sensational rookie Paul Lee was held to 12 points but was still a big factor at the end game.
Meralco now dropped to 2-2.
