The Meralco Bolts played small ball against the twin towers of Ginebra and limited No. 1 Pick Greg Slaughter to just 7 points as the Bolts won their 2nd straight game by beating Ginebra 100-87. Team captain Jared Dillinger led Meralco with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 2 steals playing extended minutes as Reynel Hugnatan suffered an ankle injury and Cliff Hodge also out because of an injury.

Mike Cortez also had a great game with 21 points and 11 assists and Rabeh Al-Hussaini had a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds.

LA Tenorio of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel with a career-high 34 points as the Bolts lose their 2nd straight game after winning their opening game of the 2013 PBA Governors Cup. Meralco import Mario West led the Bolts with 21 points while newcomer John Wilson led the locals with 17 points against his former team. Cliff Hodge contributed 16 points and Reynel Hugnatan with 10 points.

After being down by as much as 16 points in the 1st half, the Meralco Bolts regrouped in the 2nd half as they won their 2nd straight game in the 2012 PBA Philippine Cup by beating the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, 95-88 in Digos, Davao del Sur.

5 players scored in double figures for the Bolts led by Macmac Cardona with 21 points and Sol Mercado with 19 points. Mark Borboran contributed 15 points, most in the 3rd quarter as the Bolts took the lead after being down for most of the 1st half. Cliff Hodge was named best player of the game with 13 points and 4 blocks. Meralco now has a 2-1 record.
